Lavinia Modesti was born in Pisa in 1979. Graduated with honors and publication dignity in Architecture at the Faculty of Florence in 2005 with Enzo Mari as external speaker. She began her professional activity in Milan, working as Enzo Mari's assistant, collaborating on projects for furniture elements, office components and art multiples. He continued his experience collaborating with Actar-Arquitectura studio in Barcelona, then again in Milan with Caruso-Mainardi studio and finally with Boeri Studio.
