Jaime Varon
Born in Mexico City in 1965. Graduated from the School of Architecture of the Universidad Iberoamericana in 1988.

He obtained his professional title with the thesis “The Courtyard of the City. A Site, a Project.” He earned the award for “Best Thesis Of The Year” granted by the association of former students of this same university.

In 1993, he earned his Master’s in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, in New York City.

In 1989, he co-founded Migdal Arquitectos, S.C., with Abraham Metta.

Since 1992 he was Architectonic Design advisor in diverse firms of Architecture in Mexico City.

In 1994, he became a member of the Colegio de Arquitectos, in Mexico.

Between 1995-2000, he participates in courses at the Graduate School of Design of Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts,

He has been speaker and guest professor in several Mexican Universities. He was professor of design at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey - ITESM. Also he has participated in several forums of architecture and in debates of architecture critics.

He was President of the Jury for the “Premio Nacional IMEI 2000“, (National IMEI Prize 2000), appointment granted by the Instituto Mexicano del Edificio Inteligente (Mexican Institute for the intelligent Building).

As Director-partner of Migdal Arquitectos he has realized more than 250 projects in diverse areas, such as Public and Income Housing Development, Residential Projects, Industrial Complexes, Corporate Offices, Education and Culture, Interior Design, between others.

Actually is editorial adviser in national publications of architecture.
