Ivan joined the practice in 1985. He cut his teeth on Lloyd’s of London and subsequently led the design of the European Court of Human Rights and Bordeaux Law Courts. He was made a director in 1993 and senior director in 1998. In 2007 the name of the practice was changed in recognition of Ivan’s and Graham Stirk’s contributions. Together with Richard Rogers, they are evolving the practice’s language of design, to create sustainable and thought-provoking architecture for the future.
