Hye-Young has practiced architecture and interiors for nearly two decades at award-winning firms in New York City and Los Angeles. Her diverse previous experience, which include cultural buildings, educational buildings, retail environments, and housing, has equipped her to work on a variety of scales in a variety of team environments. Hye- Young draws inspiration from her personal background where she moved between continents and cultures, creating links and commonalities amongst various design elements, but also amongst various needs and desires of the many stakeholders that are involved in projects. Hye-Young views her teammates and her clients as opportunities for project and design innovation and growth and seeks to collaborate with like-minded groups who value diversity and plurality.
Hye-Young received her Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University’s Columbia College.
