Hilde was born in 1968 and was fascinated by modelling and drawing since her childhood. In 1983, Marinka Serru taught her the basic techniques of ceramics. During her university studies and even during the period she lived abroad in the Far East, ceramic remained her big passion and clay was her companion. Back in Belgium, after the birth of her son, she was coached by Katrien Van Lerberghe, Yvi De Backer and Jozef Van Mierlo. Her works are figurative, with a touch of fairy tale.
