Georgios Kontaxakis was born in Chania, Crete in 1983. He graduated from the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens. He later moved to Paris, France where he studied Urban Regeneration and Sustainable Planning (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris – La Villette).
Georgios lived and worked in various architectural practices in Paris from 2009 to 2019 and also designed and built private projects as a freelancer. His portfolio includes a wide range of projects such as private residences, luxury retail stores, hotel, renovations, and product design, in France, Greece, Germany, UK, Singapore and other countries.
Georgios Kontaxakis has transferred his base to Chania, his birthplace, in 2020; In 2021 he founds Kontaxakis Architects, his own architectural practice.
