Giorgia Zanellato is an Italian product designer born in Venice in 1987.

She started her design studies at the IUAV University of Venice where she obtained her bachelors degree in 2009. Following that Zanellato moved to Switzerland, to ECAL where she completed a Masters degree in “Product Design” in June 2011. Zanellato is currently working as a product designer in Fabrica’s design department in the communications research centre financed by the Benetton Group.

"My design is eclectic and always a work in progress; I started in Italy developing a strong understanding about the functionality of objects. After gaining my bachelor’s degree I wanted to focus more on shapes. The research I gathered during my Masters was about how to design an object that has no limits, no rules to follow, only visual and emotional aspects which change from person to person. I am currently focusing my design on objects that have a story behind them."
