Gianluca graduated in Switzerland in 1994 before moving to London in 1997 where he worked with Chapman Taylor and Eger Architects before joining Hugh Broughton Architects in the summer of 2000. He became an associate in 2006. At Hugh Broughton Architects Gianluca has been directly involved in a large number of the practice projects at all stages and in particular he has led the successful extension of the National Galleries of Scotland’s Public Affairs and Building departments. He has also been an active member of the design team developing all of the firm’s “extreme environments” projects. Gianluca is currently the project architect for the redevelopment of Maidstone Museum’s East Wing. Within the practice Gianluca has particular responsibility for competitions submissions and office management. Gianluca lives in south London and enjoys fly fishing, travelling and historic ships model making.
