I am a professionally trained Architect and Urban Planner, holding degrees from the University of Chile and a Master's in Government and Local Development. Throughout my career, I have consistently upheld the highest performance standards across a diverse spectrum of professional responsibilities, all closely tied to urban city management.

My expertise lies in the design and implementation of management tools for Complex Urban Programs. This entails conducting integrated feasibility analyses, coordinating economic, productive, and tertiary activities, as well as managing physical and communication mobility flows. Since 1997, I have been based in Valparaiso, where I have been actively engaged in projects related to the city's historic revitalization programs. Specifically, I have focused on bridging contemporary and vernacular architecture, pioneering an innovative urban management model through public-private collaborations. This work has garnered recognition, with two scholarships awarded by CONICYT (Chile's science and technology agency) to facilitate technological internships—one in Canada, exploring the Multimedia City of Montreal, and another in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

This journey has honed my strong political acumen and fortified my experience in planning renewal, social and structural consolidation, particularly in historical city centers. These contexts demand a delicate balance between the local government's mandatory requirements and guiding private entities, which must retain the ability to propose and undertake economic, financial, entrepreneurial, and management initiatives. I am intimately familiar with the challenges of charting a path forward in a present characterized by unmet needs, outdated tools, and governmental structures frequently at odds with the central administration.

During this period, I spearheaded and locally coordinated various collaborative network programs, including PAGUS-AL Europe-Latin-American Heritage Cities Network, IBA-SEE International Bau Ausstellung Fuerst Pueckler Land Germany, and IILA Instituto Italo Latinoamericano Italy. These networks aimed to foster the exchange of ideas and experiences across a wide array of topics, such as urban management, industrial heritage rehabilitation, and training in restoration techniques for unemployed youth. Additionally, I have gained invaluable international professional experience while working at architectural firms in Fribourg, Switzerland, and Hamburg, Germany.
