Since he was a child he was already building houses with pieces of Lego or everything that he found in his way. At the age of 19, on a visit to the Georges restaurant of the Pompidou Museum in Paris, Juan Luis Medina realized that his motivation was to design spaces. "When I felt the lighting, the music, the elements, the textures, what was perceived inside, I knew that what I wanted to do and what attracted me the most was the public place". Thus, after studying image and sound and specializing as a photographer and artistic production in Alicante, he began his career as an interior designer mixing visual references of cinema, art, set design and architecture with Oscar Niemeyer, Cesar Manrique and Axel Vervoordt as icons. "In addition to aesthetic sensibility, being a photographer ended up giving me skill in controlling the lighting of spaces. It's almost like creating a scenography in which you can generate sensations according to each need ". At age 28, in his new stage in Madrid, he studied interior architecture at IADE and, after going through several interior design studios, in 2011 he founded Madrid in Love, with which he made it clear from the beginning (with projects that were real milestones like Dry Martina) that had a style of its own: warm and sophisticated with which, however, he prefers not to be pigeonholed. "The style is being educated and mine is changing over time, with my work, my experiences, my travels or the art that interests me in each stage. I like to be contemporary, with a concept behind and to mark the direction I want to go. "
