Fernando Salas. 1950. Moved from Sevilla to Barcelona.

He begins his career as an apprentice in 1964 in the studio of Martorell, Bohigas and Mackay. His five year stay determines his future as a versatile designer.

At the early age of 24, the pioneering and prestigious Design magazine makes a special mention of his “Abanico" lamp (spanish fan), exhibited together with the Olivetti type-machine designed by the master Mario Bellini.

In the year 1989 he establishes in Palo Alto, an original industrial premise in the district of Poble Nou in Barcelona, where Pierre Roca promotes a reconversion of its original warehouses into studios and workshops occupied by creative professionals.

He decides to center mainly on interior design, where he begins to stand out for his work, with a style which achieves a powerful simplicity which emphasizes the quality of space.
