Born in Bourg-en-Bresse on 13th November 1982, Emilie obtained her baccalauréat scientifique then joined the 'Beaux Arts de St Etienne', where she began studying design as soon as she came of age. A young fine arts graduate, she made her first steps as a designer with the Abracadabra salt and pepper shakers, designed for Ligne Roset. Daily life, conviviality, and playfulness are the elements which inspire her work. In effect, she likes an object to take up a casual, obvious position in everyday life, to be well-adapted to the requirements of all, and to bring a pleasantly poetic side in the course of its usage. According to Emilie, design relies on the combination of functionality and simplicity, with consideration nonetheless for plasticity and aestheticism.
