After her studies of painting and sculpture in Canada, Elisabeth Lux studied architecture at the Berlin University of Arts. Later, she founded “Architektursalon Elvira” together with Martin Wiedermann, and lectured at the Technische Universität Berlin in the department of architecture. Since 1998 Elisabeth Lux has worked as freelance artist and designer. In 2003 she founded the design studio “Oehringlux” in collaboration with Frank Oehring. Elisabeth Lux has carried out several exhibition projects, and worked with diverse manufacturers like Anta, Pastoe and e15. Her iconic designs are characterised by a distinct geometric yet harmonious forms and connect the disciplines art, design and architecture.
