Cristina Morbi is an Italian Designer and Researcher working for public realm and art commission, focusing on Site-Specific Landscape Architecture and Temporary Urban Tactics.

Her studies and work focused on the interface of bio/mineral integrated design in performative landscapes, which evolves with time, showing an invisible prediction of the future. Art +Science aspect leads her to Design the Unpredictable - a Creative Multidisciplinary Studio bringing together design and research on new spatial design conditions and poetic use of space. She’s been actively working in China, studying the collateral use of the space, publishing her researches of Urban Mapping project on Collateral Spaces. Currently, she is collaborating with several award-winning design practices and artists as an architectural designer and worked for Martha Schwartz Partners on numerous iconic projects.

She is active in the academic world, holding conferences for the Milan Design week and teaching as Professor for the Design School of Politecnico di Milano, in the master course of Landscape Design, and Lecturer at the Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design in London.

Together with Markus Jatsch, Giovanna Piccinno and Martha Schwartz Partners, she created the Climate Performance interdisciplinary workshop, exploring the unpredictable transformation of Climate Change through Art and Science, mentoring students on the creative aspect of future cities and design development.

Throughout her work, she transforms iconic landscapes by introducing materials and solutions which degenerate in a poetic performance with time, interaction, and people, reconnecting to the concept of transient transformation, through poetry and use of new technologies.
