He was born in Izmir in 1965. He received his bachelor's degree in Architecture from the Department of Engineering and Architecture at Dokuz Eylul University. While he was attending the university he had the opportunity to do some probationary design work in Milan, working for Ettore Sottsass, George Sowden and Bruno Pozzi. He continued his studies on interior design and restoration at The Instituto Politecnico Di Milano. He returned to Izmir in 1989 and established Makomim where he carried out various architectural and interior design projects. Pursuant to his works on the interior design projects, the designer, who had been tending towards product design since 2000, formed the furnishing collection of Megaron in 2002. In the rich formal world of architecture and interior design, the indispensable elements for the designer is to produce exciting solutions that combine correct design solutions with production methods, detail and function.
