Daniel Jacek
Daniel Jacek is a designer who divides his attentions between free experimental methods and applied art. The main characteristic of his architectural lighting bodies is geometrical humbleness, justifying the word ‘body’ as more than appropriate to describe his pieces of art.

Jacek’s work has been influenced by his notion of technologies, and particularly abstract manifestations of Modernism. He focuses on the fundamental substance of a form and in doing so he tries to avoid any ‘disturbing’ elements. The aim of his creation is to reach crystal clear shape, and that is one of the reasons why architecture provides an ideal milieu for his creations. He appreciates its scale as well as the regular articulation and pattern of buildings, which he counts on and works with considerably making it part of the concept. On the other hand Jacek has no trouble with clinging to traditional historical forms. He is capable of mediating a classical notion and designing light fixtures as luxuriant decorative accessories in harmony with the style of the space. His current work is well illustrated by pieces in MGM Grand Casino Macau, Four Seasons Hotel Macau, and Shangri-La Tokyo.
