Christian Leibbrandt was born in Basel in 1954. He received his degree in architecture from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 1980, and in 1991 completed a dissertation for the EPFL and the Universidad de Buenos Aires on the theme of “Architecture et Autoconstruction: L’Approche des Processus Progressifs en Argentine.” In 1993, he joined Richter & Dahl Rocha Architectes, and became an associé of the office in 1999.
