CARLES CROSAS ARMENGOL. Architect by ETSAB, 2000. Doctor in Urban Planning from UPC, 2009. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urban Planning at the Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona-UPC.

He is a researcher at the Urban Planning Laboratory of Barcelona, where he is coordinator and participant in various international projects related to ecology and metabolism, collective urban spaces and centralities, the transformation of the urban network, and integrative teaching of architecture and urban planning. He is currently Deputy Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Regional Planning -UPC and has also been Vice-Dean of International Relations at ETSAB (2016-17).

Complementary to his teaching and research tasks, he carries out professional works in architecture and urban planning, co-coordinator of urban planning, and studies of various scales commissioned by various administrations.

His projects have been recognized in national and international ideas competitions (www.ccarqbarcelona.com). At the same time, he has carried out professional works together with other architects and professors from a planning and architecture platform since 2003: various plans and territorial studies in the Barcelona region; Holistic master plans for small cities, detailed plans for new mixed-use areas (homes, offices, and facilities), plans to refurbish old fabrics and infrastructure, design of sports and mixed-use facilities and public space, and national and international ideas competition (awarded in two Europan competitions).

In the field of architecture, he has developed some refurbishment projects for public and private buildings in co-authorship with Gemma Domingo Solsona.
