Bart Brands (1962) studied landscape architecture at the RHSTL College in Boskoop, the Netherlands. After working at The Hague City Council and the Bakker and Bleeker (B+B) office he started his own office – Bureau Bart Brands – in 1996. He founded Karres and Brands landscape architects together with Sylvia Karres in 1997. Their projects range from the design of parks, squares and cemeteries to the creation of urban development master plans. Bart has an affinity with both landscape architecture
