Barbara Barran is the founder of the Classic Rug Collection brand, born in 1999. A graduate in English from Temple University, she subsequently received a M.A. in English from the University of Pittsburgh and a PhD from Columbia University. In conjunction with her humanities studies, she has carried out sales activities for furniture shops, also holding representative roles for companies such as SunarHauserman and Knoll. Later, she decides to follow the path of teaching at the New York School of Interior Design. Here, she begins her journey into the world of design. Museums such as the Whitney Museum, the Smithsonian, Old Sturbridge Village have carried her work.
