Since 2007 he has held a series of exhibitions in Venice and Paris, earning international acclaim. His family home, Gravenwezel Castle and 'Kanaal,' both near Antwerp, display an eclectic combination of Eastern and Western styles through pieces of high artistic value. In 2011 the 'Axel Vervoordt' Gallery opened in Antwerp with pieces from the 'Gutai' and 'Zero' groups and contemporary works having the same style reflecting Vervoordt's early interest in these artists.
