1963 Born in Ankara. 1982 Graduated from Lycée de Galatasaray. 1986 Completed his BSc degree in Faculty of Architecture at Istanbul Mimar Sinan University. Started to work at Metcalf and Associates Architectural Office in Washington D.C., USA. 1987 Started to work at Arolat Architects as Associate Designer with Şaziment & Neşet Arolat. 1992 Completed his MArch degree in Faculty of Architecture at Istanbul Mimar Sinan University. Received National Architecture Awards, in the category of ‘Building’. 2000 Received the Award of New Prospects in Architecture. 2002 Received National Architecture Awards, in the category of ‘Building’ and ‘Design’. 2004 Founded EAA-Emre Arolat Architects with Gonca Paşolar. Received National Architecture Awards, in the category of ‘Building’. 2005 Minicity Model Park building was among the ‘Selected Works’ for European Prize for Mies van der Rohe Awards 2005. ‘Emre Arolat, Buildings/Projects’ was published by Literatur Publishing House. 2006 Dalaman International Airport Terminal building has been awarded as ‘Highly Commended’ in AR Awards for Emerging Architecture, being the first time among the participations from Turkey. The exhibition ‘with regard to…’ that represented works of EAA-Emre Arolat Architects with a contextual framework was held in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Kayseri and Trabzon in Turkey. ‘…nazaran’ exhibition catalogue was published by Milli Reasürans Art Gallery. 2007 ‘Dalaman Airport’ book was published by YEM. 2008 Received National Architecture Awards, in the category of ‘Project’. Current digital version of ‘…nazaran’ exhibition was held in Turin, Italy. Zorlu Center project has been awarded in the category of ‘Master Planning’ in Cityscape Dubai Special Award. Minicity Model Park building has been awarded as ‘Commended’ in ‘AR Awards for Emerging Architecture’. 2009 Tekfen Kağıthane Offices building has been awarded as ‘Commended’ a in the ‘Office Building’ category and Milas Golf Hotel project has been awarded as ‘Commended’ in the ‘Retail and Leisure Buildings’ category by MIPIM Architectural Review Future Project Awards. 2010 Santralistanbul Museum of Contemporary Arts project was awarded by 2010 International Architecture Awards. 7800 Çeşme Residences & Hotel, Folkart Narlıdere Housing, Kağıthane OfisPark and Raif Dinçkök Cultural Center projects were awarded as ‘Highly Commended’ by 2010 European Property Awards. Minicity Model Park and Maksimum Houses have been awarded as ‘Best Leisure Building’ and ‘Best Residential Building’ by Citiscape Dubai Awards 2010. Zorlu Konak Residence, Bodrum Büyük Kulüp, Raif Dinçkök Yalova Cultural Center, Varyap Merkez Shopping & Cultural Center, Eyüp Municipality Marriage Hall, 7800 Çeşme Residences & Hotel and Minicity Model Park projects have been awarded as ‘Highly Commended’ by Cityscape Dubai Awards 2010. Received Aga Khan Award for Architecture with Ipekyol Textile Factory building. 2011 Received MIPIM AR Future Projects Awards with Zorlu Center and Varyap Merkez Shopping and Cultural Center projects. Received Osman Hamdi Bey Award by Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. The exhibition ‘Moment’ that represented current works of EAA-Emre Arolat Architects was held in Tophane-i Amire Cultural Center in Istanbul, Turkey. Received Green Good Design Awards with Zorlu Center, Maslak No.1 Office Tower and Yalıkavak Residences.
