Arzu Firuz founded her design studio after the success of her vinyl rug collection presented at the 2007 Maison & Objet Show in Paris. Of Turkish and Panamanian ancestry, she is currently based in France. Her work is about the reinterpretation of cultural objects like antique rugs, floor cushions and wooden lattices. By combining these objects with modern and ordinary materials, she provides a fresh approach to an ancient art. In collaboration with associate designer, Paul Huber, Arzu Firuz continues to expand the collection of rugs and home accessories which is distributed worldwide.
