Roberto Giordano has many years experience of working in two fields: architecture and teaching. The process of becoming an architect and a teacher has been the culmination of many valuable experiences, first as an architectural and interior design student at the University of Florence in Italy, then as a practicing professional at some different design companies and then as a design lecturer and teacher in some private schools at international and university level.
With a background in engineering design and survey, began his career in 2000, after the bachelor degree with the doctoral thesis "Dal Ventre del Vittoriano al Giardino delle Rimembranze" - a long essay or dissertation involving an original research on the visionary project of a vertical public garden on the monument of Altare della Patria in Piazza Venezia, Rome, Italy written with Marco Galizi, candidate colleague for the college degree in Architecture - working in planning, interior design and in the teaching field in Florence, Italy.
After an apprenticeship with Guido Ciompi Architects and other design offices, he joined the professor architect Paolo Galli (one of the founders and members of 9999 group, a movement of radical design from 1966 to 1971), the supervisor of his thesis, becoming his assistant for the chair of architectural planning, interior design and furnishing subjects at the university of Florence.
He immigrated to Thailand in 2003 for teaching at international design institute with university level in Bangkok, in which he was the professor of Interior and Product design till May 2012 and as a free lancer architect, design consultant, interior advisor and lecturer in Bangkok.
His projects are among architectural, interior and product design and include: the retail Stradivari fashion shop in Innichen, Italy (2005) designed with Antonio Cantatore, the residential Green building in Montalbano Jonico, Italy (2008), the residential Sakharet Condo Apartment in Bangkok, Thailand (2009), the commercial Nerone pizzeria restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand (2010), the commercial Giganti bar restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand (2010), the lighting Skull LED chandelier (2011), the furniture Miss2Grey chair (2012), the residential Condo Apartment in Chiang Mai, Thailand (2012), the residential Sahapong House in Bangkok, Thailand (2013 – under renovation, conserving domesticity); the furniture Marinda chair (2013)
