Graduated from the muthesius academy of fine arts and design, kiel/germany with a degree in industrial design. she then worked as a designer for turett collaborative architects in new york/usa, before designing for the wiege wilkhahn entwicklungsgesellschaft in bad münder/germany. in 1999, she became self-employed and has been a managing partner of f/p design since 2000. anette ponholzer taught as a visiting professor at the university for technology in stuttgart/germany in 2007.
