Alejandro Estrada Valenzuela (1970 Guatemala) He graduated in architecture from the University Francisco Marroquín 1995. Founding partner of Substancia (2000) and Piegatto (2006) He has won awards and honorable mentions, Paíz Art Biennale (1994) and Juannio (2005). In 2006 First Place in the Habitable awards in the categories of Creativity Residential and Commercial Innovation. In 2007 First Place at the Biennale of Architecture Guatemala in Category Architectural Design and Honorable Mention in the category of Interior Design. In the year 2008 won First Place in the architecture competition for the Project Design and Planning mixed-use complex. In 2010, participated in the presentation of Piegatto UP 100% Design London and Dubai Index Fair, receive Award for Best Developer of a Fair Exhibitor. In 2011 Excellence Award granted by Cementos Progreso in Category Commercial Building Escala carretera a El Salvador. Interviews publications, including the 00 edition of the journal Taxi, Entrémosle a Guate with Harris Whitbeck and Ana Carlos. For CNN special presentation of Detalles de Arquitectura on several occasions have presented papers of his work in magazines such as D Magazine, Magazine Proyecto Perspectivas, RARA, DOMUS and Interni Magazine 60 2014 To the date, he is Chief Director of Piegatto’s Design Firm.
