I was born in Edinburgh and studied Furniture Design at Loughborough College of Art and Design where a Royal Society of Arts Design Bursary and subsequent study tour to Scandinavia directly followed my graduation. Since gaining design consultancy experience both in the UK and Italy, a return to London marked a beginning in working for continental furniture manufacturers. Being primarily interested in the mass produced sector of design, my aim is always to innovate wherever possible and if a distinct thread is developing to the work, perhaps it is a desire to subtly manipulate the form in order to make an emotional connection with the user.
