The architect's biggest challenge was to transform the property of the 80's, 130 m², into an apartment with contemporary language, appropriate to the client's profile: young pilot, single, successful and traveling a lot.

The proposal was to inject style without exaggeration, to insert personality. The concept sought was contemporary luxury, a minimalist atmosphere, with the urban and cozy lifestyle that the resident dreamed of.

The desire for total customer renewal gave freedom to creation. The integration of the spaces was paramount to receive friends. In the list of changes conceptualized by the office, the first of the changes made was to bring down the kitchen wall, which divided it from the living room, and extend the living room with the inclusion of a dormitory. Prioritizing the functionality, the living, dining and kitchen were without partitions, having only one island separating the preparation of meals from the other environments and the plaster lining and the lighting technician, sectorizing the spaces. The retrofit was total updating all the electrical and the hydraulics of the apartment.

The design has straight lines and the furniture has been chosen to offer comfort. The design has sober decor, both in color and shapes, monochromatic in shades of black, wood and gray - color used to color the walls of the living room, pillars and slabs, as well as carpet and upholstery that give comfort to the space. High standard finishes - evidenced through the gray Corian top with machined tub - and the entrance of natural light are striking points.

To make everything even more interesting, different types of linings were installed between the ceiling beams - they seem to float where the gray painted slab enhances the composition - and the lighting, with both ambient and gallery light, creating a variety of Atmospheres.

The tall banquettes are between the living room and the kitchen and it is where the resident receives the friends to talk and have a wine while preparing the meal. Behind the island, a tall mobile in black melamine hides several cabinets and the passage to the service area. Very clear ambience, thought for many cabinets and wide workbench, harmonizing with the whole house, through minimalist lines and with the carved granite tank.

In the bathrooms the gray shade of the porcelanato in contrast to the white and the wood values the space. The unified finish on the floor and walls of the booth contributes to the feeling of greater space. The lighting in the mirrors increase the minimalist and intimate air of the surroundings. The use of single and machined blocks in white silestone for the toilets of the bathrooms expresses the sophistication in the pure and simple details.

The decoration through geometric shapes complement the minimalist and timeless atmosphere in all environments. In the intimate part the décor emphasizes and unifies the concept of all spaces: elemental, sober and cozy.
