This project reconsiders the idea of a penthouse by transforming it into an eye on the city. Surrounded by the magnificent Bois de Boulogne and with panoramic views of the tour Eiffel, the project uses framed openings to create a dialogue between both Parisian landmarks.

This dialogue is achieved through transparency, reflection and strategically placed openings that not only frame and define views but also create openings so that light penetrates the interior, creating new and unexpected moments of intimacy and pleasure.
High above the dense city street-scape, the principal living spaces evoke the traditional gathering places found in nature, as a clearing in a forest offers tranquility and rest. The deformation of the existing structural columns represents forest trees enveloped within the jungle of the city beyond. Filled with dappled light, the new penthouse offers unexpected spatial experiences through free-flowing sequentially linked spaces, with uninterrupted views across the city and the sky.

The use of unfinished yet refined materials contrast rough and polished concrete finishes, light and shadow, lightness and solidity. The essential elements of structure, geometry and proportion are highlighted by the daylight that washes across the surfaces.

The extensive terrace fosters biodiversity and creates a dialogue between the natural park outside, the dwelling and the elements of nature within.
