The Coworking office is a new space in the heart of Sao Paolo. Coworking is a versatile meeting, communicating and workbench table system providing modern workplaces.
The layout of the tables demonstrates a thoughtful approach to the floor plan which generates a functional network. The scheme is centered on the provision of small work units for self employed individuals and studios; obviously sharing tables and space with others.
PTO DE CONTATO is a platform to experiment, a deliberate contrast to usual offices, offering huge tables and informal spaces for sharing.
The project is on the third floor of a commercial mall from the sixties in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This includes the big office space with a floor area of 165m2, two meeting rooms and a refurbished terrace.
Due to a tight budget an interesting range of minimal shapes and simple materials were used with the intention to pursue simplicity and to reinterpret an existing space. Exposing the existing structure opened up the space and helped to bring natural light deep into the room and to integrate natural ventilation.
The qualities of suspended fluorescent lamps were deemed appropriate for the space due to their simplicity, resulting in a light system that is both attractive and functional.
A real pleasure of the project is the generous roof terrace - inviting to stay and relax.
