The project involves the construction of a building comprising three units to be realized within an area of great landscape value, near the Lake of Albano Laziale. The primary objective of commission is to realize a project that is different from the existing types of building in this area and give priority to the environmental aspect of sustainability.
The importance of context was a key element to develop the type of housing that is characterized by particular shape similar to “ Y” that guarantees a good distribution of the interior space. In summer the windows are fully opened creating a continuity between interior and exterior. Sustainability has guided the choice of the elements that make up this project, we sought the right balance between integration and functionality with the context. The exterior finishes are maple wood alternating with plaster. The roof is a "green roof" so to have a better integration of the building with the landscape and provide good thermal performance during both summer and winter cycle.
