Lighting Design
Dichotomy of Black & White
San Diego / United States / 2011

Project Details

Info

I created this installation in order to explore two concepts: diffusion of light and material cost. The installation consists of approximately 60’ of black and white plastic conduit purchased at a scrap yard, woven and tied by black and white zip ties. The amalgamation of plastic conduit and zip ties rendered two organic spherical objects each of 15’’ diameter. The objects were transformed into light fixtures by adding bulbs and electrical cords through the woven shapes.
