MADERA SIGNATURE SUITES (eng - spa)

ENG - Our first project in Asia. The top four floors of a new build hotel in Kowloon, a district in Hong Kong and probably the place with the highest population density in the planet.
A hotel with a Spanish name that leaves little room for doubt. An oasis of calm and Mediterranean warmth hung sixty meters from the bustle of the street.
Nine suites, each one unique, and each one 100% Lagranja, full of details made exclusively for this project. The nightstands turned from oak wood blocks, or the wooden spoons carved by hand that are both a decorative element and a gift the guests can take home.
The walls of the corridors are big lamps, the gym is at the same time ironic and funny.

The boutique hotel is a new builing owned by Hip Shing Hong Group located in Jordan district, Kawoloon, Hong Kong, and has 88 guestrooms spread over 29 floors.

The project we have designed is the 3th floor for common areas and in the top 4 floors for exclusive suites. The rest of the rooms are standard rooms.

The hotel is named Madera (means wood in spanish), and of course the name explains what kind of interior design have made.
We designed 9 suites, each different from the other, always using wood as main material.

For us the most important has been to create an atmosphere very warm and domestic where each suite has a small exhibition of objects (always made of wood) that decorate the space. We have designed wooden spoons, which then serve as a keepsake for the guest, hats Wooden Lantau Island, chess pieces, wooden shoes, ...
All suites have a spacious bathroom with tub and shower built into the ceiling space and is made of wooden slats, the client calls spa suites.
A very important part of the project are the lobby lifts, each is very different from another, always trying the walls and sculptures of light and mirrors to achieve a greater sense of space. Recall that Hong Kong is one of the densest cities and faces the world, is for this reason that the use of space has been one of the problems to be solved and the mirrors have been a very important material.

The textures and crafts are available throughout the hotel, in rooms and lobby lifts, 3th floor we performed a tissue type with wire colors that draw sheets from a plot of 11000 nails, on the 16th floor, we have warped wood veneers to draw a textured ties, on the 27th floor we used a wooden puzzle texture to make light diffusers, on the 28th floor have stained wood slats 650 in 30 colors that make a smooth gradient of colors from yellow, red to blue.

SPA - Nuestro primer trabajo en Asia. Las ultimas cuatro plantas de un hotel de nueva construcción en la península de Kowloon, unos de los distritos de Hong Kong y probablemente el lugar con mas densidad de población del planeta.
Un hotel con un nombre español que no deja lugar a dudas. Un oasis de calma y calidez mediterránea suspendido a sesenta metros del bullicio de la calle.
Nueve suites, cada una diferente, y cada una 100% Lagranja, llenas de detalles realizados exclusivamente para este proyecto. Las mesitas de noche torneadas a partir de bloques de madera de roble, o las cucharas de madera talladas a mano que son a la vez un elemento decorativo y un regalo que los huéspedes pueden llevarse a casa.
Las paredes de los pasillos son grandes lámparas, el gimnasio es a la vez irónico y divertido.
