Our project tries to respond to all requests with a simple but strong sign in the landscape. Masterplan concept is in fact based on a single bending line which define an outer and inner space. Complexity is about how this bending line sets these two spaces and how it interacts with context. The curve is an evident link between two municipality: hosting all new housing it keeps clear the main central place which could now offer a large number of public facilities and common green spaces. But in the meantime what is happening around the bend? Housing curve is not a solid wall. By its soft geometry and particular design section it becomes a permeable line. Wild nature stand westbound so forest slowly get closer to the built-up area through some greater green finger crossing the housing bending link. At first sight curve could appear a unique line setting in&out different spaces but at a deeper observation you could individuate more types of space and green graduations. Transversal section makes this complexity clear. There are two movement gathering in the bend : one is from outside to inside including a wild and casual nature, the other one is from inside to outside which is constituted by gentle slopes that create and cover the real housing space and it makes possible a new higher perspective above forest. The two variation collide and create a continuous changing design section similar to two crossed hands. A sequence of pitched roof makes housing lively and it connect the present with traditional Nordic buildings. Inside housing is divided in two principal typology: both responding to general concept but the first presents more connective space related to public space and specially green ones, while the second type is more private and consequently reduced to a smaller scale.
