Marine Science and Technology Park of Taliarte

The Inox in Color ® Stainless Steel Tiles, fully integrated into a marine environment, provide a great distinction and elegance to the outstanding design of the new Marine Technology Park located in Taliarte, Gran Canaria.

Designed by the Architecture Studio Además Arquitectos (Fernando Pons Bordes and Eleonora Bocci), the commitment to cover 2.000 square meters of façade surface with stainless steel tiles lead to an original result by applying 100% recyclable and sustainable materials.

Given the peculiarities of the environment (high contrasts of temperature and extremely saline and humid environment, near sea), the use by The Inox in Color of top quality components in the manufacture of tiles was crucial to the warrant the success of the Project: Stainless Steel AISI-316L, with maximum resistance to the in saline environments; porcelain base with zero porosity, tiles in sizes of 440x590 mm. and high elasticity adhesive resistant to strong thermal contrasts.

Stainless Steel Tile reference CHECKERS applied in the architectural façade forms a textured metal surface, to reminiscent of fish scales, protagonists in the scientific studies performed in the center.
