The area of Segrate has a great potential which can be realized trough development of green areas, creation of a strong infrastructure, improvement of connections with Milano, minimizing the affects of strong negative barriers.

Design strategy:
• Unite ecological areas in one system which will provide a public and green connection between the areas.
• Develop ecological areas into multifunctional public spaces, equipped for sports and leisure.
• Design new city center.
• Minimize a negative effect of railway barrier by creation of pedestrian multifunctional “ecological bridge”.
• Create new residential areas to accommodate inhabitants attracted by the new image of Segrate.
• Improve connection with Milan and between the areas of project by providing new roads.
• Create a new business district.
• Provide a metro line, that will connect Linate airport, Business areas and the New City Center.
