Since the opening in June 1996, Leonardo has gone from strength to strength, starting at fairly humble beginnings, its popularity has superseded itself and earnt it the reputation of being the best Italian restaurant on the South coast. In December 1999, the restaurant was awarded "the Best Restaurant of Brighton & Hove", voted for by the general public.

The guests travel from throughout Sussex and even further a field to sample the wide variety of dishes from the renowned menu including home made pasta and pizza, prepared in the Leonardo kitchen, succulent steak, chicken and veal dishes, freshly caught fish, all marvelously presented and served with seasonal vegetables. The menu is extensive and prices are acceptable with choices of affordable set menu for tutti i gusti.
