Info:
About Mikaela was born in Sydney, Australia. In 2007, Mikaela graduated with Honors from 4 years of technical photographic training at Sydney Institute, receiving the prestigious State Medal. During her study, Mikaela worked extensively as an assistant to some of the top photographers and studios in Sydney. Although Mikaela grew up amongst a family of photographers, she did not chose the vocation for herself right away. A strong interest in design initially pushed Mikaela towards graphic design, which she worked in before commencing her photographic studies. Mikaela’s passion is architectural photography – both commercially, and personally. When she is not shooting for architects, interiors designers, builders and hotels, you will find Mikaela out and about – working on one of her personal projects; ‘The Beautalist’ or ‘Documeant’. In September 2009 Mikaela left Sydney for Tel-Aviv, where she currently resides. The discovery of this new city inspired her first solo exhibition titled ‘Tel-Aviv’ which opened at Gallery8 in Sydney in March 2010.
