João Foja is an architect by the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra since 2001, where he completed his degree with a research on Architecture’s relation to Photography. He was a Guest Assistant at the Department of Architecture of the University of Coimbra between 2003 and 2011, where he taught Project and Construction. In 2001, he was the co-founder of PMKJ Arquitectos, where he has been developing Architecture and Design projects, with works and research articles published and exhibited both nationally and internationally. He is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Architecture of the University of Coimbra, specializing in Architecture and Construction, and he is also a scholarship holder of the Foundation for Science and Technology since 2011. In 2011, he founded, together with Eduardo Nascimento, the Do Mal o Menos project, dedicated to the production, editing and publishing of Architecture Photography, having works published both in national and international magazines.
