Jérôme Aich, born in Paris, spends most of his teenage years making graffiti. Today he is a product designer graduated in 2001 from the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI/Les Ateliers), where he obtained a special mention for his degree project concerning an emergency shelter. The project was carried out together with the Paris Social SAMU (Medical Urgency Aid Service). His work involves studying, conceiving and developing applicable innovations for today's production tools used by industry and architecture. Without losing his personal view and at the same time engaged in various matters, he draws objects conceived to be serially produced, answering to everyday concerns. Selected and interviewed in the context of scholarships and design exhibitions(1), he carries out a personal research that allows him to reach more contextual matters, such as the position of the designer in front of society, production and energy. His transversal experience in product design and his interest in process techniques and material collection have given him the opportunity of working for scientists, industrials and architecture cabinets (2).
