The "I am archilovers®" contest is addressed to all architects, designers and fans who, like you are waiting for the Milano Design Week with curious interest and follow it with a critical but passionate spirit. It is addressed to you who would not miss it for anything on earth!!

The Saloni provide hampers of faces, ideas and projects, a blend of habits and exceptions. They stir creativity, tease the mind, reignite passions about news, events and meetings. It would be unthinkable for just one person to talk about them, everyone should be able to have their say.

So the "I am Archilovers®" contest has been created for those who have already been there, those who are on their first experience and for those who are now addicted, but also for those who cannot be there, but who would loved to have been there.

We have decided to give you the most important vantage point, the truest one in perfect social 3.0 style. With your "Designer Kit", the Archilovers App and your skill for 'zooming in' you will contribute to providing the most original and, therefore, unique photo story ever made for the Milan Design Week.
It is a contest which rewards your freedom of movement around the booths, the locations and the events that you prefer, to choose what you want to see, what you like and what is worth talking about and remembering.

We cannot wait to meet you! Find out how it works and participate!

We could have given you an iPad or and iPhone, but it seemed to easy.
So we have decided to let you win an opportunity.

If we like your photo report you will be offered an internship here with us in our brand new headquarters in Bari (Puglia southern Italy, with sea, sun, great food and social networking!) for a month's collaboration and the opportunity of a longer contract. Obviously all-expenses paid!

You could become a member of the editorial staff/reporter to do what you like best: reporting on design, architecture, the city, ideas.. You will be working with us along with the 80 strong staff of the archipassport® network (archiportale.com, archiproducts.com, archilovers.com and edilportale.com), and you will learn about working in an editorial team. After the period of internship, we will decide together whether you will make external contributions in the future or remain in the headquarters.

JURY

The editorial staff of news, events, projects and products of archiportale.com, archiproducts.com and archilovers.com will assess the candidates. 35 architects e designers, with experience in photography, events, market, design and architecture will be looking to understand who you are, how you move, how you envisage design and what you like, through your photos. And they will decide if you could be one of us.

What are the rules?
The only rule is that your photos must follow a logical, coherent and refined progression, they must be good photos (the iPhone gives excellent results!), they must talk about design, people, ideas, products and projects.

The "I am archilovers" Jury, made up of 35 architects and designers with experience in photography, events, marketing, design and architecture judged the photos published by the numerous players who spent the Milan Design Week having fun but committed to telling their version of the most sparkling week in the design world. Our judgement was made by taking account of the originality of the photo story, the stylistic coherence of the photos and strength of the message transmitted. As announced, the winner will be offered an Internship at the editorial office of Archilovers in our new Bari headquarters.
Our thanks to all those who participated and our congratulations to the winners!

For her perspective account of the Saloni, in which live presence and space interact. For her inquisitive and detailed look, discerning the moment, focussing on the composition, recognisable in the vivid lines. Involving yet composed.
Immediate but thoughtful.
Investigative yet discreet.
WIN THE SECOND AND THIRD PLACE:

For having opened unconventional windows, where "there may be another interesting facet". For having looked for them and looked at them with a passionate attention. A photo report made up of pried gestures, fleeting steps, fugitive glimpses and moments of waiting, somewhere between design as the protagonist of shapes and becoming the centre of attention which becomes its substance.

For having created timeless drawings with photographic images, objects which become lines without losing substance, lines which become scars in space, environments containing folds and streams, no longer furniture and accessories. For her calligraphic use of black and white, for the delicate balance of fills and voids and for the consequent rigour.

Considering the quantity and quality of the photos published, the jury has also decided to give a special mention to some of those who, despite not completely fulfilling the assessment criteria, distinguished themselves from the other participants with work worthy of mention.

The Archilovers staff have selected the pictures of Stefano Carniel / Roberta Musumeci / Giovanna Zorzi, young, inquisitive, design lovers for having provided a young, sparkling and funny, pertinent, colourful and enthusiastic photo report.

A special award for Francesco Maria De Besi who completed a project with a personal narrative line: a travel log, with an arrival, an itinerary and a goal which culminates with the image of a departure, carefully described photographs like in a true travel log, like many who experienced the Salone
with "a Moleskine notebook in their hand".

The award to Mariola Peretti Mariola Peretti goes for having shared a careful and analytical chronicle of the Saloni stand by stand. A report of products, names and specific proportions of those who have made a professional instrument out of scrutinising. A specific memo which does not require captions or comments.
